To reach the glacier arm, you may take a 20-minute boat trip over Svartisvatnet, followed by a 3 km hike to Austerdalsisen. You can experience this exciting landscape, which was covered by the glacier just a few decades ago. Austerdalsisen deposits crevassed ice into the water and ice cold glacial rivers.
